The song “Twilight Zone” was released in 1982 by the Dutch hard rock group “Golden Earring” .. it is on their album “Cut” … It reached #10 in the US on Billboard Hot 100 and #1 in the US on Billboard Top Tracks chart and #1 in the Netherlands on the Dutch Top 40, it is the band’s only #1 hit… Lead vocals on the song are performed first by George Kooymans (who speaks the lines up to, and including, the line “the gun is still warm”), then by Barry Hay who sings the rest of the song. If the first 5 or 6 seconds of the song is played in reverse, the words “Sirens in my head, my whole life spins into” can be heard. These are part of the lyrics for the song, although that exact line does not appear in the song itself. The song is often misnamed “Bullet Hits the Bone”, due to the line’s prominence in the chorus… The song was originally named “The Continueing Acts of Radar Love” … but the recording studio did not like such a long title and asked the band to come up with another title, in which they chose “Twilight Zone” I own no rights to this song, those rights belong to the group “Golden Earring” and their recording studio in 1982 “Capitol, 21/Mercury”
